So, you know how things fall down when you drop them? Like if you drop a ball, it falls to the ground?

That's because of something called gravity. Gravity is like a big hug from the Earth. The Earth is giving everything around it a big hug, and that's what keeps us and everything else on the ground.

Imagine you're holding a ball, and you throw it up in the air. What happens? It comes back down to your hand, right? That's because the Earth is giving it a big hug, pulling it back down to the ground. And that's gravity!
