Oh boy, gravity is like a big hug from the Earth!

Imagine you're playing with your favorite toy on the floor. You throw it up in the air, and what happens? It comes back down to the floor, right? That's because the Earth is giving it a big hug! The Earth wants to keep everything close to it, so it pulls everything towards itself. That's gravity!

It's like when you give your stuffed animal a big squeeze. You want to keep it close to you, so you hug it tight. The Earth does the same thing with everything on it, including you! That's why you don't float off into space when you're standing on the ground. The Earth's gravity is giving you a big hug!
