Gravity is like a big hug from the Earth.

Imagine you're playing with a ball. When you throw the ball up, what happens? It comes back down to the ground, right? That's because the Earth wants to give the ball a big hug and keep it close. The Earth's hug is called gravity. It pulls everything towards it, like a big strong arm. That's why you don't float off into space when you're standing on the ground. The Earth's gravity is keeping you safe and close.
