So, you know how things have weight, right? Like your toy car or your favorite book? Well, that's because of something called gravity.

Gravity is like a big hug from the Earth. The Earth is giving everything on it a big squeeze, which keeps us and everything else stuck to it. That's why you don't float off into space when you're standing on the ground.

Imagine you have a ball, and you throw it up in the air. What happens? It comes back down, right? That's because the Earth is giving it a big hug, pulling it back down to the ground. That's gravity!
