Gravity is like a big hug from the Earth!

You know how when you give your favorite toy a big hug, you hold it close to you? That's kind of like what the Earth is doing to everything on it, including you! The Earth is a big ball, and it wants to keep everything close to it, so it pulls on everything with a special kind of magic called gravity.

That's why you don't float off into space when you're standing on the ground. The Earth is giving you a big hug, keeping you close! And that's why things fall down instead of up when you drop them. The Earth's hug is pulling them down towards it. Isn't that cool?
