Gravity is like a big hug from the Earth!

You know how when you give your favorite toy or stuffed animal a big hug? You pull it close to you and don't let it go?

The Earth is doing the same thing to you and everything else on it! It's pulling us all towards it, so we don't float off into space. That's why you don't go flying off when you're standing on the ground.

Gravity is what keeps us on the ground and what makes things fall down instead of up. Isn't that cool?
