Oh boy, gravity is like a big hug from the Earth!

You know how when you hug your favorite teddy bear, you pull it close to you? Gravity is like that, but instead of your teddy bear, it's the whole Earth pulling everything towards it!

That's why you don't float off into space when you're standing on the ground. The Earth is giving you a big hug, keeping you stuck to its surface. And that's why things fall down instead of up. The Earth is pulling on them, saying "Come here, little thing! I love you!"
