Gravity is like a big hug from the Earth!

You know how when you give your favorite toy a big hug and you don't want to let it go? The Earth is doing the same thing to everything on it, including you! It's pulling everything towards itself with a big, invisible hug.

That's why you don't float off into space when you're standing on the ground. The Earth is holding onto you with its gravity hug, keeping you safe and sound on its surface. And that's why things fall down instead of up when you drop them – the Earth is pulling them towards itself with its gravity hug!
