Gravity is like a big hug from the Earth!

You know how when you give your favorite toy a big squeeze and it feels all snuggly? That's kind of what the Earth is doing to you right now. It's giving you a big hug, but instead of squeezing your toy, it's pulling on you.

That's why you don't float off into space when you're standing on the ground. The Earth is pulling you down, keeping your feet on the ground. And that's why things fall down instead of up. The Earth is giving them a big hug too! Isn't that cool?
