Gravity is like a big hug from the Earth!

You know how when you give your favorite toy a big hug, you pull it close to you? That's kind of what the Earth is doing to everything on it, including you! The Earth is giving everything a big hug, and that's what keeps us from floating off into space.

Imagine you're playing with a ball on the ground. You throw it up in the air, and what happens? It comes back down to the ground, right? That's because the Earth is pulling on the ball with its gravity, saying, "Hey, come back here and give me a hug!" And that's what keeps us on the ground, too!
