Yay! Gravity is like a big hug from the Earth!

You know how when you're playing with your favorite toy, and it falls down to the ground? That's because the Earth is giving it a big hug! The Earth is a big ball, and it wants to keep everything close to it, so it pulls everything towards it. That's gravity!

Imagine you have a ball, and you throw it up in the air. What happens? It comes back down to the ground, right? That's because the Earth is hugging it back to itself. And that's gravity being strong and keeping you and everything else on the ground!
