Gravity is like a big hug from the Earth! It's like when your mom or dad gives you a big squeeze and you feel all snuggly and safe. The Earth is doing the same thing to everything on it, including you! It's pulling everything towards itself, so you don't float off into space.

Imagine you have a ball, and you throw it up in the air. What happens? It comes back down, right? That's because the Earth is pulling on the ball with its gravity. And it's pulling on you too, so you don't float away. Isn't that cool?
