So, you know how things fall down when you drop them? Like if you drop a toy, it falls to the ground?

Imagine you have a big hug for your favorite teddy bear. You squeeze him tight and he doesn't want to go anywhere. That's kind of like what gravity does. It gives everything a big hug, and keeps them stuck to the ground or to each other.

And that's why things don't just float off into space when you drop them. They fall down because gravity is giving them a big hug!
