Gravity is like a big hug from the Earth! It's what keeps us on the ground and what makes things fall down. Imagine you have a ball, and you throw it up in the air. What happens? It comes back down, right? That's because the Earth is giving it a big hug and pulling it towards itself. The Earth wants to keep everything close, so it pulls on everything that's near it, including you! That's why you don't float off into space when you're standing on the ground. The Earth is giving you a big hug, too!
