Gravity is like a big hug from the Earth! The Earth is giving everything on it a big hug, and that's what keeps us on the ground and what makes things fall down instead of floating off into space.

Imagine you're playing with a ball on the playground. You throw it up in the air, and what happens? It comes back down to the ground, right? That's because the Earth is giving it a big hug with its gravity! And that's what keeps us on the ground too. Isn't that cool?
