Gravity is like a big hug from the Earth!

You know how when you give your favorite toy a big hug, you want to keep it close? The Earth does the same thing with everything on it, like you and your toys. It wants to keep everything close, so it pulls on everything with a special kind of string.

That's why you don't float off into space when you're standing on the ground. The Earth's hug keeps you stuck to it! And that's why things fall down when you drop them, because the Earth is pulling on them with its hug. Isn't that cool?
