Gravity is like a big hug from the Earth!

You know how when you give your favorite toy a big squeeze and hold it tight? That's kind of what the Earth is doing to everything that's on it, including you! It's pulling everything towards it, so you don't float off into space.

Imagine you're playing with a ball on the playground. If you throw it up in the air, what happens? It comes back down to the ground, right? That's because the Earth is giving it a big hug, pulling it back down. That's gravity!
