So, you know how things fall down when you drop them? Like if you drop a ball, it falls to the ground? That's because of something called gravity!

Gravity is like a big hug from the Earth. The Earth wants to keep everything close to it, so it pulls on everything that's near it. That's why you don't float off into space when you're standing on the ground. It's like the Earth is giving you a big squeeze, saying "Hey, stay here with me!"

And that's why things fall down instead of up. The Earth is pulling on them, keeping them close. Isn't that cool?
