Gravity is like a big hug from the Earth!

You know how when you give your favorite toy or stuffed animal a big hug? You want to hold onto it and keep it close?

The Earth is like a big ball, and it wants to give everything on it a big hug too! So, it pulls everything towards itself with an invisible force called gravity.

That's why you don't float off into space when you're standing on the Earth. The Earth is giving you a big hug, keeping you on the ground! And that's why things fall down instead of up. The Earth is hugging them too!
