Gravity is like a big hug from the Earth!

You know how when you hug someone, you pull them close to you? Like, really close? That's kind of what the Earth is doing to everything on it, including you! It's pulling everything towards it, so you don't float off into space.

Imagine you have a ball, and you throw it up in the air. What happens? It comes back down, right? That's because the Earth is giving it a big hug, pulling it back down to the ground. And that's gravity! It's like the Earth is saying, "Hey, come back here and stay close to me!"
