Ooh, gravity is like a big hug from the Earth!

You know how when you hug someone, you pull them close to you? Well, the Earth is doing the same thing to everything on it, including you! It's pulling you down towards it, so you don't float away into the air.

Imagine you're playing with a ball on the playground. If you throw it up in the air, what happens? It comes back down to the ground, right? That's because the Earth is giving it a big hug, pulling it down towards itself. That's gravity!
